Papa’s Advertisement: A Wind River Romantic Comedy (Wind River Mail-Order Brides Book 9)

About

Eleven-year-old Molly Turner has decided her papa needs a wife.

Widowed rancher Jacob Turner would strongly disagree.

Jacob insists he and Molly are doing just fine on their Wyoming ranch. Molly knows better. Papa works too hard, cooks badly, and worst of all, he has forgotten how to laugh.

So Molly places an advertisement.

WIFE WANTED

For a good papa who has forgotten how to smile. Must be kind. Must like children. Cooking helpful but not required.

In Boston, Charlotte “Lottie” Hayes recognizes immediately that no grown man wrote the unusual advertisement. Amused by the determined little girl behind it, she answers. One letter becomes another, and before long, Molly is convinced she has found exactly the woman her father needs.

There is just one small problem.

Papa doesn’t know about the advertisement.

When Lottie arrives in Wind River, Jacob is horrified to discover what his meddling daughter has done. Lottie quickly assures him she hasn’t traveled halfway across the country to marry a stranger. She came west to choose a life for herself.

Jacob doesn’t want another wife.

Lottie doesn’t need a husband.

And Molly is certain they’re both being ridiculous.

As Lottie builds a new life in Wind River, friendship turns to laughter, laughter turns to something neither expected, and Jacob begins to wonder if the woman he never asked for might be the one woman he can’t bear to lose.

Papa’s Advertisement is a clean, lighthearted historical Western romance filled with humor, family, second chances, and one determined eleven-year-old matchmaker who is quite certain adults make love far more complicated than it needs to be.
